The Small Wooden Block is a basic building block.
Settings[]
This block has no adjustable settings.
Usage[]
It is one of the basic structural blocks; other parts can be attached to it from any side, making it especially useful for building the basic frame of a machine.
For long sections, it is recommended to use double-length Wooden Blocks or Logs to minimise block count.
It is quite fragile; when
- bashed or shot by NPCs
- pressed or pulled too hard
- or set ablaze
it will visually break in half (or simply detach if skinned). In practice, only the primary (red) joint breaks; it will remain attached if connected via the secondary (orange) joint, and any non-flammable blocks will also remain connected to it.
It is also possible to reinforce it with Braces and protect it (somewhat) with Armour. If durability is the main priority, though, then a structure of non-flammable blocks like Ballasts should be used instead of wood.
Its collider is slightly narrower than it is long, allowing it to be placed flush against moving parts like pistons without colliding.
